Shop Rat Summer Camp at Camp McGregor

The Shop Rat Foundation is collaborating with the Jackson Area Manufacterers Assocaition's, Gateway Camp to bring the First Annual Shop Rat Summer Camp.

Students who have completed previous Gateway Camps or Machining U Camps will have a chance to participate in the Shop Rat Camp. This camp will be held at Camp McGregor in conjunction with the Gateway Camp June 22-26th, 8-4pm Monday-Friday.

Students will assemble a SHOPRAT Electric Wheelie Car, build fixtures, and experiment with Controller Programming, Weight & Balance Distribution, Deep Cycle Durability, and Torque and Horse Power. The Wheelie Car, the newest craziest SHOP RAT project yet, features zero turn steering, electric motors, and dynamic braking. Recreational activities will also be included throughout the day.
